Hiring a developer is easier when you can explain the business problem and compare proposals against the same requirements. This guide helps you prepare a brief, assess relevant work and agree on delivery with a Laravel developer in Nepal.

Start with the people and the workflow

List who will use the system and the tasks they need to complete. A public business website has different requirements from an internal accounting application or a college-management system. Note the records involved, who can change them and which existing tools the application must connect to.

A useful brief includes your current website or software, essential features, integrations, timing and budget constraints. Separate the first release from features that can wait. This makes quotations more comparable and helps avoid a proposal based on assumptions.

Ask for relevant project evidence

Look beyond a screenshot. Ask what the developer contributed, which constraints shaped the implementation and how the result was verified. For a private application, a sanitized walkthrough or explanation can be more appropriate than access to real business records.

My portfolio includes college-management work and a manpower accounting application. Use those references to start a discussion about the workflow you need, rather than assuming every project has identical features.

Choose technology around the requirements

Laravel and Filament development can connect public pages with the administration behind them. A project needing primarily editable public information may have a smaller scope than a custom application with roles, approvals and integrations.

For business websites and ecommerce, discuss content management, catalogue needs and how an enquiry or order is handled. Confirm payment-provider support for your business before including a gateway. For mobile applications, agree how the API and backend will be built and maintained.

Make the proposal specific

Ask for deliverables, exclusions, dependencies and review milestones. Agree who supplies copy and images, who tests each workflow and how changes to the brief will be estimated. An acceptance checklist should describe observable behavior, such as which roles can edit a record and what happens when submitted information is invalid.

The lowest initial quote is not enough to compare projects. Account for hosting, third-party services, maintenance and future changes. Request estimates against the same brief and ask the developer to explain uncertainty.

Agree on ownership and handover

Clarify access to source code, the domain, hosting and external services. Specify deployment responsibilities, backup arrangements and what operating guidance you will receive. Discuss how defects after launch are handled and how ongoing maintenance differs from new feature work.

If you are replacing an existing website, include its current URLs and search history in the brief. Plan redirects and post-launch checks before changing content or navigation.

Working remotely with a developer in Nepal

Nepal uses UTC+5:45. Agree on meeting times, review channels and response expectations. A short written record of decisions helps both local and international teams keep the scope clear.

Prepare your enquiry

Send the business problem, intended users, existing tools and the most important features. I work from Kathmandu with businesses in Nepal and remote teams. Tell me about your Laravel project, or review my development services.
