Web development in Nepal can involve public websites, online services and the internal systems businesses use every day. Learning the tools is one part of the work. Understanding a client’s requirements, testing the result and maintaining it matter too.
Web developer jobs as a career
Start with HTML, CSS and JavaScript to understand how a website reaches the browser. Backend development adds databases, validation, authentication and business rules. PHP and Laravel are one route into this work; Laravel is a framework, while PHP is the language underneath it.
Build small projects that you can explain. A useful portfolio describes the problem, your contribution and the limits of the demonstration. It should not imply that a practice project is a live client system.
Web developer salary in Nepal
Pay varies with experience, responsibilities, employer and the type of work. The older version of this article included an unsourced salary range and described it as the highest of all professions. Those claims were not supported and should not be used to make career decisions.
For a current decision, compare recent job descriptions and speak with employers about the actual role. Freelance project fees also need to cover planning, communication, testing and support; they are not directly comparable with an employee’s salary.

Try both interface and backend work before specializing. For businesses in Nepal, a practical application might manage college records, delivery operations or internal administration. Start with a small workflow and make it understandable for the person using it.
